Why does protein synthesis require the energy from ATP and not from glucose?

    ATP is the powerhouse of cell. The energy derived from ATP hydrolysis can be coupled to biosynthesis. And the free energy release after ATP hydrolysis is more than that compared to glucose breakdown.
